Picture Mode

Picture mode is intended solely to assist in input source identification of TV
video (picture) signals. If non-picture test signals are viewed, the signal patterns
are displayed, but no meaningful information may be extracted from the display.

Pressing the Picture button brings up a low-resolution TV display with a
software generated pseudo-gray-scale. The number of the system line is always
displayed, and Select Line is always on. A bright line indicates the position of
the system line on the display. You may quickly set the line selection to a visual
reference point in the picture display and then switch to the waveform, vector, or
measure mode to view or make measurements on the contents of that line.

The following soft keys are available at the bottom of the Picture display:

Default Bright. Touch this soft key to return the picture display to the default
brightness. You can adjust the picture brightness by pressing and holding the
front-panel Display button, and then turning the front-panel knob.

Default Contrast. Touch this soft key to return the picture display to the
default contrast. You can adjust the picture contrast by pressing and holding
the front-panel Graticule button, and then turning the front-panel knob.

These additional soft keys are available with firmware version 2.10e and above:

H

Center Picture. Touch this soft key to vertically center the Large Picture
display. When you use the front-panel knob to scroll to a video line that is
off screen, the picture display pans to display the selected line. Use this soft
key to recenter the picture display.
