option. You will be asked for the option authorization key of your measure-
ment set as part of the order process.

After your order is processed, you will be sent the firmware upgrade kit with
your new option authorization key. The firmware upgrade kit includes a new
manual for the ordered option. When an option upgrade requires additional
circuit boards, those are also in the upgrade kit with instructions for installation.

Activating the New Options

The following procedure explains how to activate your new option configuration
after you receive a new option key. If the option upgrade requires addition circuit
boards (two examples are the Audio Option and the GPIB Interface Option)
install the new hardware before upgrading the firmware. Follow the installation
instructions received with the firmware upgrade kit. After that installation is
completed, use the following steps to upgrade the firmware.
