LAN interface
Once you connect to the 1830A via the Ethernet port, the LAN interface becomes a
powerful tool. It acts as a front panel to the instrument, allows the user to upload
firmware, upload sensor data, manage files, test remote commands and queries, and
calibrate the 1830A.
To access the LAN interface, open a Web browser, such as Microsoft Edge or Mozilla
Firefox, and type the 1830A IP address into the browser command line (for example,
192.168.1.102). To find out what the IP address of your 1830A is, select SETUP ->
Instrument -> Network Options -> IP Address from the front panel. If you have typed in
the correct IP address, the 1830A will display its home page as shown in Figure 4.9. At
this point, a limited amount of functions are available until you log in.
