Troubleshooting
DANGER!
There is a residual danger of trapped fingers. Never attempt to reach into the
hazardous area. Never reach into a trapping point (crimp tool fitted) before switching
off the machine completely.
DANGER!
Before starting maintenance, disassembly or repair work the crimping machine must
be switched off completely by removing the mains connector. Contact with live
components can result in death!
WARNING!
•
Maintenance and repair work must only be performed by trained, authorised
personnel.
•
Protective panels and tools must only be removed when the machine is non-
operational and has been disconnected electrically. In particular, the housing and
panels should only be removed by specialist personnel.
•
When working with the crimping machine for HV contacts do not wear loose
clothing, loose jewellery or long hanging hair that could get caught in the machine
parts.
Procedure for opening the crimping tool in the event of PLC failure:
If the PLC fails the crimping tool can be opened manually.
Procedure:
WARNING!

Shut down the crimping machine and disconnect it from the power supply.
Using a lever push the top tool up, causing it to open slowly.
