Copying between modules
The on-screen controls for these operations are in the
lower part of the screen.
This allows bulk copying of the following settings
between modules:
• Fader and mute settings
• Buss assignment, pan and balance and surround
settings
• Aux send levels and pan balance settings
• EQ parameters and switching
• Compressor/expander settings
• Gate settings
In the copy section, there are two “radio buttons”.
The first, when selected, allows copying of parame-
ters to individual modules (channel modules, busses,
aux sends or the stereo buss). If modules are linked,
they are shown as pairs in the list of available
destinations.
The second option allows copying of parameters to
groups of modules (all channels (
ALL CH
), or in groups
of four or eight (usually eight, but
AUX 9–12
is a spe-
cial case), all busses (
ALL BUSS
) or in groups of 8, all
aux sends (
ALL AUX
) or in groups of 8, and the stereo
buss.
1
Select the top (one-to-one) or lower (one-to-
many) radio button.
2
Use the wheel to select the source from which
the parameters will be copied, using the left
field, next to the radio buttons. In both
options, you can select from any one of the
channel modules, the buss modules, the aux
modules or the stereo buss.
Linked modules are displayed as a pair (e.g.
CH1-2
).
3
Press
ENTER
to confirm this setting, and move
to the right field.
4
Select the destination module (first option) or
group of modules (second option), and press
ENTER
to confirm this setting.
5
Move the cursor to the on-screen
COPY
button
and press
ENTER
. A popup message asks you
to confirm the copy operation. Press
ENTER
to
confirm, or a cursor key to cancel.
Protecting parameters
It is possible to lock parameters of groups of mod-
ules against accidental overwriting during copy and
paste operations.
Use the checkboxes in the
PASTE SAFE
section at the
bottom of the screen to select groups of parameters
to be protected:
• Faders and mutes
• Buss assignments, pan/balance and surround
settings
• Aux levels and pan/balance
• EQ settings
• Compressor/expander settings
• Gate settings
The grid to the right of these checkboxes cannot be
edited, and is for information only (the circles indi-
cate that the settings are available for the modules
listed in the top row, e.g. gates are only available for
modules 1 through 48).
The
SAFE
checkbox to the left is also for information
only, and cannot be edited or changed.
