9.5 Access Protocol
All three autoloader communication methods (OCP, RMU, and serial) can simultaneously be active on
the lowest level (Information only).

RMU: Standard user
n
OCP: Online
n
Serial: lgo (logout)
However, only one of the three methods can be active at any one time on the Administrator or Service
levels (RMU and serial) or at the Offline level (OCP). The other two can remain active on the lowest
level. If an attempt to login is made on either of the other two while the third has the highest level
access, an ?Already Reserved? message (except the RMU) is displayed. The RMU will only allow
access by a Standard user at the login panel.
For best results:

If communicating via the OCP, return to the Home Screen before attempting to communicate via
the RMU or serial port.

If communicating via the RMU, log out before attempting to communicate via the OCP or serial
port.
n
If communicating via the serial port, log out before attempting to communicate via the OCP or
RMU.
