Chapter 4.

Removing and Replacing Components

4.10 Installing the Hammer Bank

Ensure the hammer bank is properly positioned on the guide pins, pull it forward

slightly, then insert and tighten the hammer bank mounting screws.

Insert the stain relief in the right end of the hammer bank then tighten screw.

Before mounting the ribbon platform, power up the printer, turn on the Tech Access

feature then run the Print Gap test (Cal Engine

–

Print Gap). This test will run the

platen gap

to an indicated “54” on the display. At this time set the physical platen

gap to 0.013” using the platen gap adjustment screws at each end of the platen.
