11.6 Hydraulic tractor

oil replacement

Keep hydraulic oil clean! Clean hydraulic oil
will prevent excessive wear and premature
failure of components. Replace the tractor
filter and oil as per manufacturer’s instruc-
tions.

Model C only:
Check the filter element every 3000 bales or
at least once a season. The filter element
should be replaced for every 8000 bales
being wrapped and always once a season.

11.7 Cleaning

General

Frequently cleaning reduces the risk for
functional errors and corrosion. Use com-
pressed air instead of water. If high pres-
sure water is used, keep clear of bearings
and electric components.

Pre-stretchers

It is important to keep the pre-stretcher»s
roller free from particles, dust, straw and
tack. Use methylated spirit or similar. Dirty
rollers may cause incorrect stretch of the
film and incorrect coverage of the bale.

Bearings

Keep motor axles, bearings and gears free
of dirt, grass and net.

Cylinders

Keep away from aggressive chemicals etc.
in order to avoid damage to the piston
surface. Visible parts of the ram should be
greased before long time storage.

11.8 Maintenance

Check wiring for damage or corrosion.
Check all plugs and sockets. Keep com-
mand panel and electric cabinet clean. Use
a moist cloth. Avoid flowing water.
