Uninstalling and Installing the Bottom Stack

Uninstalling the Bottom Stack

Release the latches and open the front door.

Lift the guard heater to the top locking position.

Remove the sub-ambient insulation ring or bottom cooling block insulation, if installed.

Remove any samples in the stack.

Clean both the top and bottom stack surfaces with a lint-free cloth and a small amount of isopropyl alcohol.

Remove the two screws under the bottom stack. Unplug the bottom heater connector from the left side
of the bottom stack.

Remove screws.

Unplug the three thermocouple connectors from the right side of the bottom stack.

Carefully lift the bottom stack off of the securing posts. Lift the bottom stack off of the support posts
and remove it from the unit.

NOTE

: Take care not to scratch or otherwise damage the top and bottom sample plates when moving the

bottom stack in and out of the instrument.
