HI LEVEL IN

If the active sub-woofer is to be connected to a power amplifier, the amplifier
output should be connected to these sockets.

Take particular care to avoid short-circuits between the HI LEVEL terminals.
Maintain correct polarity! The red
‘+’ terminals must be connected to the
red
‘+’ output terminals on the output amplifier.

LAN

Interface for software updates, fault-finding and computer-controlled operation of
device functions.

AUTO / ON

This switch activates either the automatic sub-woofer power-on function
(
‘AUTO’
position) or continuous operation (
‘ON’
position).
‘AUTO’ position

The unit switches on automatically , as soon as . . .
-
a switching voltage is present at the Trigger socket
-
or a music signal is present

When switched on, the LED on the front panel lights up green .

The sub-woofer automatically switches to stand-by mode if the switching
voltage at the Trigger socket is absent, or about ten minutes after the last
music signal;
– the
LED on the front panel lights up red .
‘ON’ position
If the switch is at the
‘ON’
position, the sub-woofer remains continuously
switched on whether an input signal is present or not.
 
In the
‘AUTO’
switch position the sub-woofer can be switched on and off using
the remote control handset. However, if the unit is switched off, but a music
signal is still present, the sub-woofer automatically switches itself on again after
a brief delay.
In the
‘ON’
position of the switch the sub-woofer can only be switched on and
off using the remote control handset.

TRIGGER
(+5V … +30V)

The sub-woofer can be switched on
by applying a switching voltage (+5 … +30
Volt) to this socket. If the switching voltage is turned off, the sub-woofer turns
itself off without any delay.
If you wish to use the Trigger function, the
‘AUTO / ON’
switch (

) must be set
to the ‘AUTO’ position.
