4 Lift or hoist the i401 laser out of the container using the three lifting handles. To prevent injury to
personnel or damage to the laser, always use a minimum of three people to handle the i401 laser.
Note: Do not lift or support the i401 laser using the cooling fittings. Lift the laser by the lifting handles
or baseplate only.
5 After removing the laser, pull out all accessory items and paperwork packaged below the laser in the
shipping container.
6 Save the shipping container and foam inserts. Use these specialized packaging materials when ship-
ping the laser to another location.
Removing the lifting handles
Once you have placed the i401 laser in its final mounting location, perform the following steps to remove
the lifting attachments.
1 Remove the 1/4–20 × 5/8" capscrews from two locations on each of the three handles as shown in
Figure 1-2.
2 Save the lifting handles and capscrews so the handles can be reinstalled if the i401 is moved to
another location.
