PTC-1800 Product Reference Guide

Chapter

Maintaining the PTC-1800

Operating conditions

Environment

Do not use the unit in excessively dirty or moist
conditions.

Temperature

If the PTC-1800 is operated at low
temperatures, the display may
darken, and the response time may
slow.

Operate the PTC-1800 only in temperatures between
32 and 122 F° (0–50 C°).

Handling the PTC-1800

The following information will help to ensure that you
receive safe, reliable, and trouble-free service from
your PTC-1800.

•

Suspend the PTC-1800 before you replace the
battery pack.

•

Avoid dropping the PTC-1800 or knocking it
against a hard surface.

•

Carry the PTC-1800 in a holster or carrying case
to protect it.

•

If you have stored the PTC-1800 or its battery
pack in below-freezing temperatures for more
than 1 hour, the battery pack may be too cold to
charge. Let it warm and try again.
