PTC-1800 Product Reference Guide

Initializing keypad tones

Follow the instructions below to set the PTC-1800 to
generate a tone when its keys are pressed.

1.

At the Home screen, press the SK1 key. The
Main Menu displays (see Figure 6).

2.

Press the Down arrow key until Settings is
highlighted.

3.

Press the Send key.

If the PTC-1800 is already set to
generate keypad tones, a checkmark
displays beside the

Keypad Tones

menu option.

4.

Press the Down arrow key until Keypad Tones
is highlighted.

5.

Press the Send key. The Keypad Tones menu
option will now be checked in the Settings Menu,
and the PTC-1800 will generate a tone when its
keys are pressed.

Turning off keypad tones

To prevent the PTC-1800 from generating keypad
tones, follow the instructions in the “Initializing
keypad tones” section above. After you press the Send
key, the Keypad Tones menu option will no longer
be checked in the Settings menu, and the PTC-1800
will not generate a tone when its keys are pressed.

Editing/Viewing user identification information

Follow the instructions below to view your user
identification information. This is the information
that is seen by people who receive calls from you.

1.

At the Home screen, press the SK1 key. The
Main Menu displays (see Figure 6).

2.

Press the Down arrow key until Settings is
highlighted.

3.

Press the Send key.

4.

Press the Down arrow key until User is
highlighted.
