9.
Before first use
• Remove everything from the packaging and check that all parts are intact. Do not use the fan if any of the parts
are damaged.
10. IR remote control
a) Inserting/changing the batteries
•
Insert batteries before using the remote control for the first time. Replace the batteries when the remote control
becomes unresponsive.
• Remove the screw from the battery compartment using a Phillips screwdriver.
• Remove the battery compartment cover (34) on the back of the remote control.
• Insert two 1.5 V/DC AAA batteries (not included) into the battery compartment (observe the plus/+ and minus/-
markings).
• Replace the battery compartment cover and tighten the screw.
Rechargeable batteries have a lower voltage (1.2 V compared to 1.5 V for conventional batteries) and a
lower capacity, resulting in a shorter battery life. For best results, use good-quality alkaline batteries.
b) Using the remote control
The buttons on the remote control are identical to the buttons on the control panel (8). When you enable a function,
the corresponding symbol will appear on the remote control's LCD display (29).
• Once you have inserted the batteries, press the button to activate the remote control.
• Point the IR transmitter (28) at the IR receiver (21).
•
The LED indicator (20) will flash when you press a button.
The remote control has a maximum range of 3 m. The range may be lower if there is furniture or other
objects between the transmitter and receiver.
11. Setting up the fan
Keep the fan away from walls and furniture to ensure that the air can circulate properly.
Do not place the product directly next to a mains socket.
