• Do not use spray bottles/cans in the vicinity of the product.
• Move the fan slowly after use, otherwise water may drip out of the ice pack compartment.
• Keep an eye on the water level when the fan is switched on.
• Never add other liquids (e.g. aromatherapy oils) to the water tank.
• Do not remove the water tank when the fan is switched on.
• Do not point the air outlet at people for prolonged periods (especially children and sick or elderly people).
c) Connecting the mains cable
• The fan must be powered via a standard mains socket (220 - 240 V/AC, 50/60 Hz) connected to the
public electricity grid.
• Before connecting the product to the mains, check that your local A/C mains voltage matches the
specifications on the nameplate.
• Do not let the mains cable hang over the edge of tables or other surfaces on which the product is
standing.
•
Unwind the mains cable before use, otherwise the fan may overheat and cause a fire.
• The mains socket must be easily accessible.
• Never unplug the mains plug from the socket by pulling on the cable. Always use the grips on the sides
of the plug.
• Unplug the fan from the mains after use or if you do not plan to use it for an extended period. It should
also be disconnected from the mains before cleaning, assembly and transportation and before filling the
water tank.
• For safety reasons, unplug the mains plug from the mains socket during thunderstorms.
• Always unplug the appliance when it is unattended.
• Make sure that the mains cable is not squeezed, bent, damaged by sharp edges or subjected to
mechanical stress. Avoid excessive thermal stress on the mains cable from extreme heat or cold. Do
not modify the mains cable, as this may damage the interior components. A damaged mains cable can
cause a fatal electric shock.
• Do not touch the mains cable if it is damaged. Power down the respective mains socket (e.g. via the
respective circuit breaker), and then carefully pull the mains plug from the mains socket. Never use the
product if the mains cable is damaged.
• Never insert or unplug the mains plug when your hands are wet.
• Always lay the mains cable so that nobody can trip over or become entangled in it.
• Disconnect the fan from the mains before moving it.
• The fan must be turned off when it is connected to the mains.
