is in the OFF posi-

tion.

4. Check all joints from equipment shutoff valve to gas

INSTALLATION

Test Pressures Equal To or Less Than 1/2

PSIG (3.5 kPa)

1. Close equipment shutoff valve (see Figure 6).
2. Pressurize supply piping system by either opening

propane/LP supply tank valve for propane/LP gas or

opening main gas valve located on or near gas meter of

natural gas or using compressed air.

3. Check all joints from gas meter to equipment shutoff

valve for natural gas or propane/LP supply to equipment

shutoff valve for propane/LP. Apply noncorrosive leak

INSTALLATION OF

DECORATIVE LOGS

Diagrams are provided on the following pages (page

11 thru 13) for the proper positioning of the provided

decorative gas logs.

Carefully follow the instruction that is provided for

the model you are installing.

We recommend that each log be positioned on the

grate carefully, and that the installer ensure the

cut-outs in the bottom of the logs fit over the feat-

ures of the grate they mate with.

Use only the logs provided. Do not add items not inc-

luded with this set.

When operating, the burner flames should  not be imp-

inging on (touching) any of the logs. Improperly

placed logs (logs impinging the flame) can cause

excessive carbon build-up (sooting) and poor combust-

ion.

to use only parts specificly approved for

WARNING: Failure to position the parts in

accordance with these diagrams or failure
this heater may result in property damage

or personal injury.
