1-2 Serverboard Features

X9DRT-P/PIBF/PT, a dual processor serverboard based on the Intel ®
C602 PCH chipset and is designed to provide maximum performance. Four of these
serverboards can be mounted in the -R2K02B chassis.
The sections below cover the main features of the X9DRT-P/PIBF/PT serverboard
(see Figure 1-1 for a block diagram of the chipset).
Processors
The X9DRT-P/PIBF/PT supports single or dual Intel Xeon
®
E5-2600 (V2) series
processors (Socket R LGA 2011). Please refer to the serverboard description pages
on our web site for a complete listing of supported processors ( www.supermicro.
com ). Each processor supports two full-width Intel QuickPath Interconnect (QPI)
links with a Data Transfer Rate of up to 8 GT/s per QPI.
Memory
The X9DRT-P/PIBF/PT has sixteen (16) DIMM slots supporting up to 1 TB of 240-
pin Registered (RDIMM)/Load Reduced (LRDIMM) ECC or Unbuffered (UDIMM)
ECC/Non-ECC DDR3-1866/1600/1333/1066/800 MHz speed 4-channel memory in
up to 1 GB, 2 GB, 4 GB, 8 GB, 16 GB or 32 GB sizes at 1.35V or 1.5V voltages.

Serial ATA
A Serial ATA controller is integrated into each node's C602 chipset to provide up
to a six-port SATA subsystem: two SATA3 (6 Gb/s, ports 1-2) and four SATA2 (3
Gb/s). RAID 0, 1, 5 or 10 are supported. The SATA drives are hot-swappable units.
Additionally, there is a SATA DOM connector on the serverboard.
Note: The operating system you use must have RAID support to enable the hot-
swap capability and RAID function of the SATA drives.
