Calibration
1. Make sure there is no pressure source
connected to the pressure transducer
being check and read register (
40047-48
TestPressureFloat
or
40049-50
FlowPressureFloat
) to verify
zero (0) pressure.
2. Enable write access to calibration registers for
the pressure transducer being calibrated by
setting either register
40083-84 AI2_Calibration_Enable
(Flow Pressure Transducer)
or
40099-100
AI-3_Calibration_Enable
(Test Pressure Transducer)
to a value of one (
1
).
3. Zero the pressure transducer being calibrated by setting either register
40085-86 AI2_Zero
(Flow
Pressure Transducer)
or
400101-102 AI-3_Zero
(Test Pressure Transducer)
to a value of one (
1
).
4. Once the pressure transducer has been zeroed, set
Zero
register value back to zero (
0
) to disable
zeroing, same register as in step 3.
5. Remove the
Low
port vinyl hose from the pressure transducer being calibrated and connect a
calibrated vacuum pressure source to the
Low
port and then apply a pressure of 25 inH
2
O.
6. Enter the applied pressure value from the calibrated vacuum pressure source by writing the value to
the appropriate register, either
40087-88 AI2_Applied
(Flow Pressure Transducer)
or
400103-104
AI-3_Applied
(Test Pressure Transducer)
.
7. Once the calibration value has been applied
in step 6, adjust calibration of the appropriate
pressure transducer by setting either register
40089-90 AI2_Cal
(Flow Pressure Transducer)
or
400105-106 AI-3_Cal
(Test Pressure
Transducer)
to a value of one (
1
).
8. Once the pressure transducer calibration value has been applied, set appropriate
Cal
register value
back to zero (
0
), same register as in step 7.
9.
Slowly bleed off calibration pressure to zero pressure and disconnect the calibrated vacuum pressure
source from the transducer. Re-connect any vinyl hose removed in step 5 to the appropriate pressure
transducer.
10. Calibration is now complete, disable write access to calibration registers for the pressure transducer
being calibrated by setting either register
40083-84 AI2_Calibration_Enable
(Flow Pressure
Transducer)
or
40099-100 AI-3_Calibration_Enable
(Test Pressure Transducer)
back
to the default
value of zero (
0
).
11. Repeat these step for both Test and Flow pressure transducers.
An abrupt change in pressure may result in damage
to the sensor being calibrated. Make certain that
the input pressure is set to zero before introducing
pressure at a slow pace. When finished calibrating,
slowly bleed off the pressure before removing from
the sensor being tested.
!
WARNING
Once the calibration value is applied, the original
calibration data will be overwritten and cannot be
retrieved.
