AVSI-10 Interview Room System Setup and User Guide

SECTION 3: SYSTEM SETUP

DC12-1000R power adapter

FEMALE-POW power cable

Alarm terminations

Ground (G) terminals

Wire

coupler

ALARM IN 1 terminal

CAB-SWITCH

cable to AVSI

switch

Plug the other end of the

FEMALE-POW power cable

into a DC12-1000R power adapter.

Do not

plug the power adapter

into an electrical outlet at this time.

At the alarm terminations, push and hold in the orange button associated with the

ALARM IN 1

terminal, insert the

CAB-SWITCH cable

green

wire all the way in, and then release the orange button. Tug on the wire to ensure that is securely

attached.

At the alarm terminations, push and hold in the orange button associated with one if the

(ground) terminals, insert the

CAB-SWITCH cable

white

wire all the way in, and then release the orange button. Tug on the wire to ensure that is securely

attached.

Test the AVSI switch

Power on the UPS.

Plug the DC12-1000R power adapter shown in the photo in step 3 above into one of the outlets on the back of the UPS.

Flip the AVSI switch to the up (record) position. Verify that the

green

light is

. If this step and the following step do

not produce the expected results, check the connections to the switch and power adapter. Contact your vendor support
organization if additional help is needed.

10. Flip the AVSI switch to the down (standby) position. Verify that the

red

light is

. Leave this switch in the down position.
