Jam Nut

Cylinder Rod

Cylinder length adjustment,

Locking Jam Nut

Steps:
1. Confirm the jam nut and threaded rod are fully threaded into cylinder rod, so that

no threads are showing.

2. Confirm both cylinder assemblies are the same length, when measured pin to pin.
3. Adjustment can be made by turning the flange with a pipe wench.
4.

IMPORTANT:

With a pipe wench on the flange, and adjustable wrench on jam

nut, tighten jam nut against the flange.

5. Do not mar the cylinder rod.
6.

Keep all plastic “spacer pucks” in place on cylinder rod until final stage.
