TFG2900A Series Function/Arbitrary Waveform Generator Users’ Guide

Suin Instruments Co., Ltd

Generator has 2 or 4 channels and every channel’s firmware is independent, so updates should be

done to every channel. Channel No. is shown as * in below instruction. There will be a message of

completing updates for every channel when it completes updates. You can reboot the generator

now, or continue to update other channels and reboot the generator after all channels completed

updates.

The suffix of firmware update package is ‘bin’. Copy it to USB flash disk with FAT32 format and

then insert it to the USB Host interface in the front panel. Generator can recognize it and has an

usb icon in the screen.

3.22 Clock Calibration

TCXO is used on this waveform generator, after a long time operating, the oscillator will age and

which will lead to the drift of frequency. Therefore, clock calibration is required to solve this

problem.

Frequency counter will be used during clock calibration, connect the 10MHZ Ref Out port in the

rear panel of device into frequency counter, then press
