PARKING SUPPORT BRAKE
The Parking Support Brake system uses sensors to detect objects (and if equipped,
pedestrians) when driving at a low speed or backing up, such as when parking. When the
system determines that the probability of a collision with a detected object or pedestrian is
high, a warning alerts you. If the system determines that the possibility of a collision with a
detected object or pedestrian is extremely high, the brakes are automatically applied to
help avoid the collision or reduce impact.
Parking Support Brake is effective with static objects (such as a wall or parked vehicle),
both in front of and to the rear of your vehicle and with vehicles approaching or crossing
your path from the right or left as you reverse. If equipped, it is also effective with
pedestrians to the rear of your vehicle and static objects around your vehicle.
Parking Support Brake can be enabled/disabled in the multi-information display.
