Si Basket — Unloading

IMPORTANT

Before unloading instruments, inspect the basket for any hose connectors
that may have detached from either the instrument or the basket flush port.
An instrument that is detached from a luer hose or flush port may NOT been
cleaned or disinfected satisfactorily.

Any instruments that may have detached from a hose should be
reprocessed.

1.

Disconnect the luer hose from the instrument.

2.

Push the release tab on the basket flush port to
release the luer hose. Pull the luer hose to
disconnect it from the basket flush port.

3.

Inspect the luer hose for ruptures. Discard the
hose if in any doubt about it's condition.

Instrument will require reprocessing.
