The procedure for connecting a lifting shackle or lifting strap to the lifting hook is as follows.

1.

Check that the lifting hook is intact and that protective lugs are in place.

2.

Place the shackle/strap on the lifting hook so that the lift takes place within the marked area.

3.

Ensure that the safety area is free of anyone who could be hurt or anything that could be damaged if the object
being lifted should fall.
