CONFIGURING THE SOLARIX
GENERAL
The factory setting of the Solarix is such that it is suitable for most
applications without any changes. The settings are made by means of
jumpers placed at the printed circuit board.
The settings of Solarix 400 RI / 550 RI / 900 RI must be changed in the
following cases:
-
activation of night-light function
-
change of battery type
-
voltage-controlled charging mode
Note!
If you have problems in configuring your Solarix do not hesitate to
contact your dealer. We shall not warrant for any damages whatsoever
caused by wrong configuration!
Caution!
Do not remove the housing cover from the appliance
unless you configure the Solarix or change fuses. Never make an
electrical connection with the cover open.

(if necessary loosen the jumpers with a small screwdriver!)
ACTIVATING NIGHT-LIGHT FUNCTION
For use of the Solarix in lighting systems it is possible to activate the so-
called night-light function. With the night-light function activated, all of the
12 V consumers connected are switched off during the day and switched
on during the night. The total discharge protection continues to be
activated.
Note!
This function may be activated with solar modules connected only
(required for day/night recognition).
Proceed as follows
-
remove housing cover
-
place jumper as shown in below diagram to activate night-light
function.

CHANGING BATTERY TYPE
The Solarix may be used to charge batteries filled with liquid or with gel-
like electrolyte.
Caution!
Be sure always to use a battery suitable for the respective
setting.
Proceed as follows
-
remove housing cover
-
place jumper as shown in below diagram to set respective battery type
VOLTAGE-CONTROLLED CHARGING MODE
Any source of energy other than solar modules used to charge the battery
must be connected directly to the battery terminals - the state of charge
of the battery must be determined by means of voltage control.
Proceed as follows
-
remove housing cover
-
place jumper as shown in below diagram to set respective function
