You can open the small door on the front of the charger by pulling out the push tabs. Doing so
reveals the power connection posts, as shown below.

4.2.1 Battery
Each SmartScanNG² uses two 12-volt 115-ampere-hour batteries for a 24volt system. The
use of smaller batteries reduces the amount of time that the SmartScanNG² system can
continue to operate after AC power is removed.
