10-Terminal Connector
Park/Kill:
(Terminal 1) -
Used for the Park/Kill feature that
automatically deactivates the siren (such as when the
vehicle is placed in Park or a door is opened). Using an
18 AWG wire, connect this terminal to the dome light, a
door switch, or other external switch. By default this wire
activates the Park/Kill feature when it re12VDC.
Optionally, this input can be set to activate the Park/Kill
feature when it is grounded (see page 9 of the Installer
Selectable Options).
Backlighting:
(Terminal 2) -
This terminal supplies power for the amber
backlighting of the faceplate (
faceplate backlighting only,
not buttons
). Connect it to +12VDC from the dash lights,
parking lights or other switched source. Be sure to use
minimum size #18 AWG wire.
Note: The unit will still
function without power to this wire. There will not be any
backlighting though.
Radio 1 & Radio 2:
(Terminals 3 & 4) -
Used for radio repeat. Connect one
terminal to one output and the other terminal to the other
output from the two-way radio (speaker or output
connector). This unit has been designed such that polarity
is not important. Use #18 AWG wire.
