Temperature Input Module Zone 1
Series 9482/32
6.2.2 Possible Types of Circuitry
Combination of connection A: only RTD, unearthed
17810E00
Up to 8 resistance temperature detectors or resistance transmitters
The following safety data are only applicable to
• circuitry with resistance temperature detectors and resistance
transmitters (combination of connection A)
• Circuitry with thermocouples and mV transmitters
(combinations of connection B – E)
• Circuitry combinations with resistance temperature detectors,
resistance transmitters and thermocouples and mV transmitters
(combinations of connection F – I)
Please note:
• The combinations of connections differ with respect to the specified
electrical safety measures (earthing, insulating) and the connected
reference junctions (internal, external) of the temperature sensors!
• The safety data for the thermocouples, resistance sensors and external
reference junctions must be determined separately in each case.
• Usually, the temperature sensors can be connected in any
configuration. Be sure to use the combinations of connections F – I
when connecting additional temperature or resistance sensors.
• An external reference junction may only be connected to channels 6
and 7.
Note
No thermocouples / mV transmitters connected, no reference junction
connected
