Installation examples
In order to avoid measuring errors caused
by gas pockets and lining damage caused
by negative pressure, the following points
must be observed:
Free inlet or outlet section
Preferably install the device in a drain.
The empty pipe detection circuit in the
transmitter is an additional safety feature
for recognizing empty or partially filled
pipes.
Fall pipe over five meters long
In case of fall pipes that are more than
five meters long, arrange for a syphon or a
venting valve in order to avoid a negative
pressure in the pipe and damage to the
lining. In addition, this measure prevents
the flow from stopping so that air pockets
can be avoided.
Highest point in pipe system. Air bubbles
will accumulate in the tube. Incorrect
measurement!
Caut ion! T here is t he danger of
accumulations of solids in the drain. It is
advisable to arrange for a cleaning aperture
in the pipe.
