Assembling the 90347 and 90341 Transmitters
To replace the ECG and transmitter PCBAs
1
Solder the battery wires to the transmitter PCBA. Ensure that
polarity markings are correct: red is positive (+), green is
negative (-). Verify proper polarity by looking for polarity
marks inside the battery compartment and on the transmitter
PCBA where the battery wires connect.
2
Align the connecting pins on the ECG and transmitter PCBAs
and press them together equally on all sides.
3
Lower the ECG and transmitter PCBAs into the transmitter
case. Carefully align the ECG lead pins with the receiving
connector sockets on the bottom of the ECG PCBA. Press them
together.
4
Replace the #2 × 7/16 screws to secure the ECG and transmitter
PCBAs to the base. Torque the screws to 0.9 to 1.2 in/lbs (11 to
14 cN/m).
5
Replace the battery terminals in the battery compartment. To
ensure proper terminal polarity, refer to step 1.
6
Place the transmitter top cover in its correct position on the
transmitter base.
7
Replace the five main assembly screws [torque screws to 2.5
in-lb, 28 cN.m].
Note:
Correct torquing of the housing cover screws is essential for
proper performance of the housing cover gasket.
8
Replace the patient input label.
9
Replace the battery.
10
Test transmitter performance using the procedures in
Transmitter Field Alignment Procedures
Disassembling the 90343 Transmitter
when following these instructions.
Warning:
The transmitter will not operate properly without the electrical
shields. The shields must be re-installed when the transmitter
PCBA is replaced.
