Control

The REWIND command requests the drive to position the media at the beginning of the currently active partition.

Before rewinding, the drive writes any buffered data to tape and appends an EOD.

Immed:

When this bit is set, the drive writes any remaining buffered data followed by an EOD to tape. It then

returns status to the initiator before beginning the actual rewind operation. If the Immediate bit is not set, status will

be returned after the rewind has completed.
