1. Eject the cartridge.
2. Check laser parameter 1 of hours meter.
When laser parameter 1 of hours meter has:
• not reached the end of replacement cycle:
Go to step 3 in the error remedy method.
• reached the end of replacement cycle:
It is likely laser in optical block assembly (OP-1) reached to the end of
its life cycle.
Replace optical block assembly (OP-1).
3. Insert again the ejected cartridge.
• In the case no error occurs:
The problem is fixed. Use the unit as it is.
• In the case the error occurs:
Go to step 4 in the error remedy method.
4. Insert another cartridge.
• In the case no error occurs:
The ejected cartridge is likely to be faulty.
Tip
For how to handle the defective cartridge, contact your local Sony Sales
Office/Service Center.
• In the case the error occurs:
A drive fault is likely. Go to step 5 in the error remedy method.
5. Startup the maintenance menu and perform [CHECK] > [LENS
CLEANING].
After [LENS CLEANING] is performed:
• when the symptom is improved,
The problem is fixed. Use the unit as it is.
• When the symptoms do not improve,
