The cartridge was not
detected even when the
loading operation has
been finished.
1. Eject the cartridge.
2. Startup the maintenance menu and display [CHECK] > [LOADER].
3. Insert the cartridge and check [DOWN SENSOR] and [SENSOR HOLE].
•
when [DOWN SENSOR] is set to [DOWN] and [SENSOR HOLE]
displays “4”:
The problem is fixed. Use the unit as it is.
•
when [DOWN SENSOR] is set to other than [DOWN] and [SENSOR
HOLE] does not display “4”:
There is a possibility that a detection sensor is damaged.
Go to step 4 in the error remedy method.
4. Check the corresponding detection sensors, and then replace the
SE-1004A board or the SE-1005A board.

Incorrect position of the
cartridge in the loader was
detected during vertical
movement of the loading
operation.
1. Eject the cartridge.
If the cartridge is not ejected, turn off and on the unit. Press the EJECT
button after startup to eject the cartridge.
Note
EJECT button operation or power off and on operation may generate
another alarm code.
2. Insert the same cartridge and check whether this error occurs again.
If the cartridge cannot be inserted, turn off and on the unit and then insert
the cartridge again.
•
When this error occurs again, go to step 3 in the error remedy method.
•
When this error no longer occurs, the problem is fixed. Use the unit as it
is.
3. Insert another cartridge and check whether this error occurs again.
•
When this error no longer occurs, the previous cartridge may be
defective.
Do not use the previous cartridge any longer.

For how to handle the defective cartridge, contact your local Sony Sales
Office/Service Center.
•
When this error occurs again, the loader assembly may be defective.
