Starting playback takes more time than usual.
The following discs take a longer time to start
playback.
a disc recorded with a complicated tree structure.
a disc recorded in multisession mode.
a disc that has not been finalized (a disc to which
data can be added).
a disc that has many folders.
The function automatically changes to the CD
function when you insert a disc.
This unit will automatically change to the CD
function when a disc is inserted.
The unit does not eject the disc and “LOCKED”
appears.
Contact your Sony dealer or local authorized Sony
service facility.
The unit does not eject the disc and “Invalid
operation.” appears.
You cannot eject a disc in the following cases.
When audio data is being transferred or recorded
to the USB device.
When erasing audio files or folders on the USB
device.
FM/AM and DAB*
Radio broadcasts cannot be received or there is
severe hum or noise.
Connect the antennas (aerials) correctly (pages 13,
14).
Adjust the antenna (aerial) position.
Keep the antennas away from the power cord, the
remote control, the remote control charger, the AC
power adaptor and the USB cable to avoid picking up
noise.
Turn off nearby electrical equipment.
When the FM broadcast is received in stereo, switch
the reception to monaural (page 28).
Consult your nearest Sony dealer if the supplied AM
loop antenna has come off the plastic stand.
RDS is not working.
Make sure that you tune in an FM station.
DAB broadcast cannot be received.*
Check all aerial connections, then perform the DAB
Automatic Scan procedure (page 28).
The current DAB station is not available. Select a
different station (pages 27, 28).
If you have moved to another area, some stations/
frequencies may have changed and you may not be
able to tune into your usual broadcast. Perform the
DAB Automatic Scan procedure to retune the radio
stations (page 28). (Performing this procedure clears
all previously stored presets.)
iPod
“Cannot detect iPod. Please confirm the
connection.” appears.
Make sure the iPod is connected securely.
There is no sound.
Make sure the iPod is connected securely.
Make sure the iPod is playing music.
Adjust the volume.
The sound is distorted.
Turn down the volume.
Set the sound style to “Standard” (page 45).
