This unit can play audio data that is stored on a
computer that supports the DLNA (Digital Living
Network Alliance) standards.
Before playing audio data, the supplied VAIO
Media plus software must be installed on your
computer and the unit must be connected to
the computer through a wireless LAN network
(wireless router/wireless LAN access point).
For details on the installation and network
connections, refer to “Preparing a computer to
use as a server (VAIO Media plus)” (page 16),
or “Connecting the unit to your home network
(network setting)” (page 18).

The VAIO Media plus software enables the
playback of tracks stored on the computer in the
MP3, LinearPCM, WAV, WMA and AAC (“.m4a”)
formats. Tracks with copyright protection (Digital
Rights Management) cannot be played by this unit.
Note
Make sure that your computer is turned on in advance.

Enter the Home Network function
from the Home menu.

Select the server to be connected.
When the server selection display appears,
press
/
to select the server.
If the server selection display does not appear,
do the procedure “To change a server” (page
35) to select the server.

Press
/
to select the item you
want to play.
The items that are displayed (tracks, artists,
albums, genres, folder name, etc.) depends on
the connected server.
Press BACK to go to the next higher
directory.
Press ENTER to go to the next lower
directory.
Press
/
to go one page up or down.

Press ENTER to select the track you
want to play.
The unit starts playing the selected track and
the playback display appears.
Make sure that there is sound output from the
speakers of the main unit.
