Connection

Remove the bottom plate (base plate assembly) of the
SNC-RZ30N/RZ30P. (Refer to Section 1-4-5.)

Turn on the power of PC.

Connect each equipment according to the following

figure.

Set the DIP switch S001 to 1110 of the SY-303 board.

Attach the Memory Stick, that is written in updating

program, with PC card adaptor to PC card slot A drive
(LED side).

Connect the AC adaptor to DC IN connector on the
SNC-RZ30N/30P, turn on the power of the SNC-

RZ30N/RZ30P. (Confirm the Power LED blinking
(Debug mode))

Confirm the clock on PC is set correctly at date and
time. If incorrectly, set them to correctly.

Install the SNC-RZ30 Modify Tool to PC.

Start the SNC-RZ30 Modify Tool. Then, SNC-RZ30

Modify Tool is displayed.

10. Click Connect button. Then the following dialog box

is displayed.

2-7. Setting for Hyper Terminal

Performs the initial start setting as to hyper terminal.

Start the hyper terminal of Windows.

Type a new connection name (example; “SNC-RZ30”)

in the box, select icon.

Click OK button.

Select port that is connected between PC and SNC-
RZ30N/RZ30P from the “Connection Method (N)”.

Normally, there is no problem by selecting at

“COM1”. However, there is differing in case of PC
configurations.

Communication state is set as follows.
Communication speed 9600bps

Data bit

Varity

Noting

Stop bit

Flow control

Noting

Setting is completed as above-mentioned.

To start this communication state at next time, save this

setting state. That is, click “File” tag on the File menu,
clicks “Save” and type the File name on the File name box.

Then, save this setting state.

2-8. Update of Software

For update of software, there are two methods as follows.

Debug mode: Using the PC card and serial

communications

Normal mode: Using the PC card and CGI mode

I/O PORT tool consists of a harness I/O PORT (J-6432-
910-A) and an alarm board (J-6432-920-A).
