5-2-2. System Shut Down
The FARAD system must be shut down in the following procedure.

Before turning off the main power of FDDR-7000 and BKFD-7800, preparation to shut down the system
must be performed using the SHUTDOWN button as described below.
When the POWER switch is turned off all of a sudden during record or playback, the recorded data or the

normally.
Procedure
1.
Quit the Operation Software of the FARAD system which runs on the host computer.
After quitting the Operation Software (GUI) of the FARAD system, shut down the host computer.
n
When you want to continue operation of the host computer but to shut down the FARAD system
only, (in the case that the host computer is used for the other purposes than the FARAD system
control,) take the following procedure after quitting the Operation Software (GUI) only of the
FARAD system.
2.
Pressing the SHUTDOWN switch on the front of FDDR-7000. This is the preparation to shut down
the FARAD system.

Wait until the SYSTEM indicator of FDDR-7000 is turned off and tehn release the SHUTDOWN
switch.
4.
After confirming that the SYSTEM indicator of FDDR-7000 is turned off (preparation to shut down
the system is complete), turn off the POWER switch of FDDR-7000.
5.
When BKFD-7800 is connected, turn off the POWER switch of BKFD-7800.
This ends the shutdown procedure of the system.
6.
When multiple FARAD systems are used to a host computer, perform the above described shutdown
(procedure) to all FARAD systems.
n
When you want to re-start the FARAD system after the FARAD system is shut down once, the host
computer must be shut down once before re-starting the FARAD system. (The FARAD system must be
started from the state in which the host computer is not operating.)
