Connecting
Select the communication port connected to Radian from the
Port
drop-down list.
Select the transmission rate used for initial communications with Radian from the
Baud Rate
drop-down list.
Select the
Scan for port & baudrate
check box to connect to Radian when you
are not sure which port is used for the connection, or if you do not know Radian’s
current baud rate. With this option selected, the software scans through the avail-
able ports and baud rates until it detects a connection with Radian.
Click
Connect
to attempt to connect to Radian.
The
Settings
,
Compass
, and
3D View
buttons become active when you establish
connection with Radian.
If an attempted connection fails, the Radian Tool will autoscan the ports at each
baud rate until it finds a device. This does not always work the first time, but you
can click the
Connect
button to try again.
