12 Decommissioning
12.1 Remove the Inverter
Disconnect the inverter from DC Input, AC output and battery.
Wait for 5 minutes for de-energizing.
Disconnect communication and optional connection wires.
Remove the inverter from the wall bracket.
Remove the bracket if necessary.
Pack the inverter with the original packaging.
If the original package is no longer available, you can also use an equivalent
carton
that meets the following requirements;
Suitable for the weight of product.
With handle.
Store the inverter in a dry environment where ambient temperature stays
between 4
℉
/-20°C ~ 140
℉
/60°C. Take care of the inverter during the storage and
transportation, keep less than 4 cartons in one stack.
When the inverter or other related components need to be disposed of, have
disposal carried out according to local waste handling regulations. Be sure to
deliver wasted inverters and packing materials to the appropriate site where
assistance is available for appropriate and legal disposal and recycling.

11.2 Routine Maintenance
Inverters do not need any maintenance or correction in most condition, but if the
inverter often loses power due to overheating, the following can be the reason:
The cooling fins on the rear of house are covered by dirt.
Clean the cooling fins with a soft dry cloth or brush if necessary.
Only trained and authorized professional personnel who are familiar with the
requirements of safety should perform servicing and maintenance work.
Only qualified people should perform the following tasks.
While using the inverter, the user should examine the machine regularly:
1: Check if the cooling fins on the rear of the house are clean. The machine should
be cleaned of dirt and dust regularly.
2: Check if the indicators of the inverter are in normal state, check if the keys of the
inverter are in normal state, check if the display of the inverter is normal. This check
should be performed at least every 6 months.
3: Check that if the input and output wires are damaged or aged. This check should
be performed at least every 6 months.
4: You should keep the inverter panels clean and their security checked at least
every 6 months.
For DC Switch, the user should:
1. Check the installation for signs of overload, overheating, and that the terminals
do not exceed the limit of 185
℉
/85°C under full load.
2. By operating the switch a few times (5x) the contacts will clean themselves and
the switch will have a longer life.

Safety checks
Safety checks should be performed at least every 12 months. Please contact the
manufacturer (
) to arrange a qualified person with adequate training,
Solax
knowledge, and practical experience to perform these tests. (Note: this action is not
covered by warranty). The data should be recorded in an equipment log. If the
device is not functioning properly or fails any test, the device has to be repaired. For
safety check details, refer to this manual, Section 2 Safety instruction.
