9 Powering down the Compact
Station
DANGER!
Fatal electric shock hazard!
Components within the inverters are charged with a high voltage. After the
inverter has been disconnected, high residual voltages remain in the inverter
for approx. 5 minutes.
You must de-energize the inverters of the Compact Station as described in
this chapter before opening them.
ATTENTION!
Damage to the inverter due to electrostatic discharge!
Use an anti-static arm band connected to the inverter before making contact
to electronic parts in the inverter.
Note
A slave station can be powered down separately from the master station.
Procedure
1. Switch OFF the main switch at the MCU (master station). The "Main switch off"
status message will be displayed.
2. Remove the 4 side panels from the Compact Station (master and/or slave station) as
described in Section 5.2.3.
3. Switch off all AC circuit breakers of the inverters (master and/or slave station).
4. Switch off all DC circuit breakers of the inverters (master and/or slave station).
5. De-energize all DC and AC supply conductors to the Compact Station (master and/or
slave station).
6. Secure the DC and AC supply cables against accidental reactivation.
7. Wait for 5 minutes until the voltages inside the inverter are discharged.
8. Open the inverters by releasing the four or three M5 screws of the left and right front
cover.
9. Remove the lower contact protection (M6 screws).
10. Use a suitable voltage tester to ensure that the AC and DC terminals in the inverters
are de-energized (see Section 3.7).
– When the terminals are de-energized, you can carry out work on the open
inverters.
