Assign a VF as a SR ‐ IOV Passthrough adapter to the VM
1 In the vSphere Web Client, navigate to the VM.
2 Power OFF the VM.
3 Select the Manage tab > Settings > VM Hardware , then click the Edit button to
display the VM ‐ Edit Settings window.
4 To add a VF, select Network from the New device drop down list and click the
Add button.
5 Expand the New Network section:
6 Connect the VM to a port group identifying the network the VF is to connect to.
If there is no uplink associated with the portgroup, VFs attached to the same
portgroup can sent between themselves, but not to any network.
