Configuring the MEP-802A to Support 120 VAC and 240
VAC Loads Simultaneously
The two meters above the dial report the output
amperage and voltage. These meters will report ONLY
ONE of the two outputs (120 or 240 VAC as shown in
the configuration above) at a time. The output selection
switch shown in the figure to the right, is set so that it
will report the 240 VAC output.
Use the output selection switch to choose the setting
that is appropriate for reporting the desired output.
Begin with the outer ring “PHASE”, then “VOLTS”, then
“AMPS” (the most interior ring) choosing the setting
the reflects the wiring configuration of interest. A white
arrowhead indicates the direction that the switch is
pointing. Moving the switch to point at approximately
“5 o’clock” will cause the two meters to report the
output from the 120 VAC line in the configuration
above. Note: The selection switch DOES NOT change
the generator output in any way.
