E
Cycle the
power
supply for
the controller
<Condition>
Positioning of the polarity is not finished
properly.
When the servo motor is turned on (SVON is turned on) first
time after the power is applied, the actuator needs to move
a little to find the motor phase. However, if this actuator
movement is prevented, this alarm will be activated.
<Countermeasure>
Make sure there are no obstructions
that interfere with the actuator movement and then, turn on
the servo motor (SVON is turned on).
Output
current is too
high.

E
Cycle the
Power
supply for
the controller
<Condition>
The output current of the power circuit is
extraordinarily high.
<Countermeasure>
Make sure that there are no short
circuits of actuator cables, connectors, etc.
In addition, make sure that the actuator conforms to the
controller.
Error

Current
sensor
failure
E
Cycle the
power
supply for
the controller
<Condition>
An abnormality is detected in the current
sensors which are recognized when the controller is
initialized.
<Countermeasure>
Make sure that the actuator conforms
to the controller.
Even after this measure, if the alarm regenerates when the
power is reapplied, please contact SMC.

the controller
<Condition>
Position deviation counter in the controller
has overflowed.
<Countermeasure>
Check if the travel of the actuator is
interrupted. Check if the load, speed, acceleration /
deceleration speed of the actuator is within the specification
range.
Memory

E
Cycle the
power

the controller
<Condition>
Abnormality concerning EEPROM is
confirmed.
<Countermeasure>
Please contact SMC.
CPU error
Operation
(1-198)
CPU error
E
Cycle the
power
supply for
the controller
<Condition>
CPU is not operating properly.
(Failure of CPU and peripheral circuits, or malfunction due
to noise)
<Countermeasure>
If the alarm cannot be deactivated
even after the power is reapplied, please contact SMC.
* For alarm clear method of controller version SV1.00 or less, input RESET
⇒
SVON
⇒
SETUP.
