Procedure:
1. Connect the connection cable to the digital signal source (see the manual from manufacturer).
2. Connect the connection cable to the supplied 5-pole terminal blocks. To do this, release the
screws of the required terminal points using a suitable tool, plug the wires into the terminal
points and tighten the screws of the terminal points hand-tight.
3. Connect the 5-pole terminal blocks to terminal
DI
. Observe the pin assignment.
4. Ensure that the wires are correctly connected and fit tightly.
5. Note the terminal assignment.

Connecting RS485 Devices
The product is suitable for the communication with RS232 devices. By using an additional RS232-
RS485 adapter and a serial extension cord, the product can be retrofit for the communication with
RS485 devices via Modbus RTU.
Additionally required mounting material (not included in the scope of delivery):
☐ RS232-RS485 adapter galvanic isolation (e.g. the TCC-100I-T from Moxa)
