Bed Operating Instructions
Hand Control
These instructions are for the general functions of the bed; any special or unique functions will be
referenced to in different sections of this manual.
Make sure that the bed is correctly positioned and connected to a grounded or hospital grade outlet.
WARNING:
Once the bed is positioned correctly, lock casters. Failure to do this
could result in patient and/or user injury as well as damage to equipment or other
property.
WARNING:
Electrical shock or malfunction may occur if the hand control cord
is pinched or frayed. Keep the cord away from moving parts.
Turn ON the bed by switching the “ON/OFF” switch, located on the Electronic Control Module.
The buttons perform the following operations:
A. CPR
B. Puts bed in Chair position
C. Raises head section of bed
D. Raises foot section of bed
E. Lowers head section of bed
F. Lowers foot section of bed
G. Raises bed
H. Trendelenburg (feet higher than head)
I. Lowers bed
J. Reverse Trendelenburg (head higher than feet)
Trendelenburg and Reverse Trendelenburg
lock out is located on the ECM
