Heating and cooling periods 

 

The following measurement conditions apply to heating and cooling times:  

 

All times are elapsed times without settling time. 

 

The measurements were carried out at a room temperature of approx. 23 °C 

 

Without cap, without cover (surface function and TP M  … S series). 

 

Regulation is based on the internal reference sensor (except for surface). 

 

Dry block (series TP 17 … , series TP M … S): 

 

Reference sensor Pt100, Ø 6 mm, stainless steel casing 

 

TP M … S:  Reference sensor located 10 mm away from middle at a depth of 155 mm. 

 

TP 17 … : At full depth the reference sensor is located in the middle of the sleeve. 

 

Infrared (TP 17 166 S, TP 17 450 S, series TP M … S): 

 

All periods relate to a reference sensor Pt100 Ø3 mm, L = 300 mm, stainless steel 
casing.  

 

The reference sensor is immersed at a depth of 111 mm. 

 

Surface temperature (TP 17 166 S, TP 17 450 S, series TP M … S): 

 

Regulation is based on the external reference sensor (3 x 300 mm). 

 

Reference sensor Pt100 Ø3 mm, L = 150 mm, stainless steel casing. 

 

Reference sensor immersed at 51 mm depth and positioned below the upper edge. 

 

Micro bath (series TP M … S): 

 

Reference sensor Pt100, Ø 6 mm, stainless steel casing. 

 

The reference sensor is located 5 mm above the mesh insert in the middle of the tank.
