Reviewing project data
Composer can provide the detailed license requirements for the current
configuration. You can review the status of your (open) project in Composer at any
time if you want to see what products are licensed, how many subsystems are
configured, the number and type of drivers, and other details.
The following describes how to check the license requirements.
To view license/project data, do the following:
1. Select Project node > Supervisor System settings > [DMS8000 system main
node].
2. Select the Node tab.
3. In the page that appears, click View License Data.
The resulting list shows the required license parameters for the current
configuration in the License Data page. The Required License field indicates
whether instances of a feature are in your project, and in many cases, the
number of instances. The Available License column shows
Unknown.
Viewing License Data
If the server tasks are running with a valid license key and PAK code, you can also
check whether the required licenses are actually covered.
To see whether the license and PAK codes currently loaded can enable the
configuration, click Check License Data.
The license requirements are checked against the installed values and the
Available License column shows Available if the license PAK is sufficient. If
there is a problem with one or more licenses, you will see a display similar to
the following figure. Otherwise, you will receive a confirmation that all licenses
are available.
