Logbooks

Operating principle

The logbook lists events, warnings, and faults in chronological order. Each entry is stamped with
the real time. The following logbooks are used for the 3RW51 soft starter:

• Logbook application

• Logbook device

The logbook is designed as a circular buffer.

Logbook application

The logbook application contains all messages relating to functions and parameters. The
logbook application can be deleted.

Logbook device

The following messages are recorded in the device logbook:

• Errors

• Warnings

• Events

The device logbook is available in every module (3RW51 soft starter, 3RW5 HMI High Feature,
3RW5 communication module) and cannot be deleted.

Saving logbooks

The logbooks can be stored on a micro SD card (Page 125).
