Operation with operator panel 

6.4.4.1

 

"Operator panel available" parameter 

 
With the "Operator panel available" parameter, you determine whether or not an operator 

panel is available for operating the compact starters. 

In conjunction with the "Operation at Preset <> Actual Configuration" parameter, operation of 

the compact starters with or without operator panel can be configured (see Chapter 

"Parameter "Operation at Preset <> Actual Configuration" (Page 109)"). 
Use of the operator panel is above all useful if manual intervention in an application is an 

indispensable requirement for operating the plant, or to enable manual intervention in an 

emergency. 
The table below shows the values for the "Operator panel available" parameter.

The "Operator panel available" parameter can only be modified via IO-Link. It cannot be 

adjusted at the device.

The "Operation at Preset <> Actual Configuration" parameter sets the severity level of the 

test for the "Operator panel available" parameter. 
The table below shows the values for the "Operation at Preset <> Actual Configuration" 

parameter.

operator panel is connected.
