4.8 Extension Unit PROFIsafe - Safety configuration

Procedure
1.
Select the entry "PROFIsafe" for the required Extension Unit.
2.
Use the right mouse button to open the properties of the Extension Unit PROFIsafe.
Alternatively: Double-click the safety module in slot 0 of the Extension Unit PROFIsafe
with the yellow frame.
3.
In the PROFIsafe properties, select the entry "Module parameters".
4.
Select the operating mode according to the plant specification. Default setting is "5454h"
for the "1oo2" mode for both emergency stop buttons.
The input address contains the information on the status of the emergency stop buttons
(pressed "0", not pressed="1"), see section
"Operating modes of the Extension Unit PROFIsafe (Page 88)".
5.
In the PROFIsafe property view under "General", select the entry "PROFIsafe".
6.
Enter the PROFIsafe address in the "F-destination address" text box. For example, the
value "383" is input in the figure below.
7.
Save your settings with "OK".
